What you will accomplish

Listing Hub showing listing state and synchronization controls used during updates.
Update or unpublish a listing deliberately, verify the public result, and recover when status or content does not synchronize.

Goals

  • Update the authoritative source
  • Choose Status, Sync, and Listed changes deliberately
  • Verify the public result

Withdraw a property deliberately

Status, external distribution, and CREBuilder visibility are separate decisions.

  • Set correct StatusTurn off Sync if distribution should stop
  • Turn off Sync if distribution should stopTurn off Listed if public page should close
  • Turn off Listed if public page should closeVerify public and external state

Before you start

Data, sources, and access to prepare

  • A currently listed or synced property
  • An approved change or withdrawal instruction

Prepare these details

  • Confirm whether the change is content-only, a status change, a distribution withdrawal, or full unpublication
  • Record the current Listed, Sync, and Status values
  • Identify every external link already distributed

Complete the task

  1. 1

    Correct the source document

    Documents > document wizard

Change the one approved source field or content item.

Expected result: The source section reports Saved.

If this does not happen: Return the field to its prior value if approval or source evidence is unclear.

  2. 2

    Review the changed public page

    Listing Hub > listing preview

Open the property page after the source save.

Expected result: The page reflects the current approved content.

If this does not happen: Allow normal refresh processing, then verify the source-to-page mapping.

  3. 3

    Set the inventory status

    Listing row > Status

    Select the current real-world status.

Expected result: The row and public page display the status.

If this does not happen: Do not use unlisting as a substitute for an accurate status when the page should remain visible.

  4. 4

    Stop external distribution

    Listing row > Sync

Turn off Sync when external distribution must end.

Expected result: The row records the removal intent.

If this does not happen: Allow network processing time before escalating a still-visible external listing.

  5. 5

    Remove CREBuilder visibility

    Listing row > Listed

Turn off Listed when the public CREBuilder page must no longer be discoverable.

Expected result: The property leaves the public Listing Hub.

If this does not happen: Keep Listed on when a Sold, Leased, or Closed badge should remain publicly visible.

  6. 6

    Test the hub state

    Signed-out browser

Open the known Listing Hub URL.

Expected result: The inventory experience matches the approved maintenance decision.

If this does not happen: Clear cache or use a private window before concluding that an old state persists.

  7. 7

    Test the property state

    Signed-out browser

    Open the known property URL.

Expected result: The property experience matches the approved maintenance decision.

If this does not happen: Verify Listed and Status again when the property URL does not match the intended state.

Public content and maintenance decisions

Flyer labels do not change listing status

Cover Label in Review > Design > Cover Page changes the flyer cover and newly generated PDFs only. Typing Just Sold, Just Leased, New Listing, or For Sublease does not change Listed, Sync, inventory status, public listing badges, or the sale/lease transaction. To retire active inventory, set Listing Hub Status to Sold or Leased. An already listed property remains as past inventory, and Sync stops. External networks remove it after processing the updated feeds. Returning to Active does not automatically re-enable Sync.

Verify before you finish

  • Source changes are saved

  • Sync matches distribution intent
  • Listed matches CREBuilder visibility intent
  • The signed-out hub and property page were tested
  • External processing time was considered

Troubleshooting and next steps

The public page still shows old content.

Likely cause: The source may not have saved or the viewer may have a cached page.

  1. Confirm the source value and save state.
  2. Open the public page in a private window.
  3. Check that the correct source document owns the listing.
Highlights are missing from a sale flyer's public page.

Likely cause: The source section may be blank, hidden, or protected by Confidential mode.

  1. Open Property Highlights in the source flyer and confirm the text is saved.
  2. Check that the highlights section is included in the document.
  3. Check the Confidential setting before expecting public prose.
  4. Reopen the signed-out property page and contact support with the document link if saved, visible highlights are still absent.
A photo has no caption or displays the property name.

Likely cause: The stored caption may be an automatic camera filename or placeholder rather than written text.

  1. Enter a descriptive caption in Images & Media if a specific label is needed.
  2. Confirm Property Name when using the single-page photo fallback.
  3. Verify both the public gallery and its enlarged photo view after saving.
An external listing remains after Sync is off.

Likely cause: External networks process removal asynchronously.

  1. Confirm the removal intent is recorded in Listing Hub.
  2. Wait the stated processing period.
  3. Escalate with the property and network state if it remains.

Final verification

  • Listing row > Sync: The row records the removal intent.
  • Listing row > Listed: The property leaves the public Listing Hub.
  • Signed-out browser: The inventory experience matches the approved maintenance decision.
  • Signed-out browser: The property experience matches the approved maintenance decision.
  • No blocking warning, failed status, or unresolved validation message remains in the completed workflow.
